Our Georgian Skirting Board is inspired by interior moulding designs used throughout the Georgian period (1714-1830). Interior design in the Georgian period was notoriously minimalist in characterisation, but did feature large skirting boards, with elaborate mouldings in their rooms, setting an elegant tone for the period.

A very classic design, the Georgian style is not as intricate as other period mouldings and as such is far less niche in terms of the style of interior it is suitable for. Our Georgian skirting board allows you to add a classic finishing touch to any period property.

The Georgian style is particularly well suited to a thicker material. Due to this, we recommend opting for 25mm thick MDF, although the 18mm is also suitable.

Please note the profile detail of our Georgian skirting remains the same size (51mm) regardless of the height you choose- as the height increases, so does the size of the ‘flat’ section beneath the detail.
